"Stop texting," i said grabbing her cell phone and put in my pocket as we entered Rajiv Chowk Delhi Metro station.
She stood still staring at me. "Run, you'll miss metro," I said pulling her in the Metro. As we reached New Delhi Metro Station for NDLS train I gave the phone back to her and reached my other pocket to pull mine. . "Oh Shit!!" I yelled. "What Happened?" she asked. I was in shock, replied with a sigh, "My Phone is gone!!"

My phone, Samsung Galaxy S4, 40 grands, was stolen. I stood there.. all blank. Every thing, every person, was moving faster than normal, as if they have stolen my phone and are running away from me. I cursed myself for not holding that in my hand. But.. Alas, It was gone. There were some pics and messages in the phone which I regret loosing.
The feeling I experienced that day was something.. an emptiness inside.. like your heart is perforated.. you breath but lungs behave like a punctured tyre.
I consoled myself saying I'll earn one again.
Few days later I saw the collection of chalk icons carved by me. Found one of the best ever icon broken (photo below Chalksmith.com). It had taken me 8 good hours to carve it. But.. alas.. it was gone.
The feeling I experienced that day was something.. an emptiness inside.. like your heart is perforated.. you breath but lungs behave like a punctured tyre.
But I couldn't console myself, not even today I can.
I can't earn it. I can't buy it again. I can't rent it.
Even if I hire someone to make same one for me, I won't get that happiness that I had got the time I had completed it.
That day I realised, more than the grief of my stolen phone, I was sad because of these photos and messages which I would never be able to get back.

Few people say If you can't buy happiness, rent it.
You can rent a car, but not the friends who can join you to enjoy the journey. Money can buy movie tickets but not the buddies with whom you enjoy the hooting moments.
Money can buy you Tequila shots and hangover too..

Money can buy almost everything..
BUT it can't buy you family time or 25th hour in a day or the moments you enjoyed for the first time like learning to ride bicycle or first kiss or first crush or first love or care and HAPPINESS.

You have to pay a separate price.. a special price.. for these things and that's called passion, the dedication and LOVE.
